WKH A28 is proving to be an exception in the breed. His birthweight EBV is +0.0 and he has huge muscle and shape with his EMA at 6.7, positive fats and +1.5 IMF.
Woodbourn has just concluded a semen sale to a significant stud breeder in Victoria.

All Woodbourn ‘G’ bulls and heifers were scanned last week by Roger Evans, who comes down from NSW to Tasmania every year to scan the animals, to measure and record true carcase data.
It is a pleasure to see how the Woodbourn raw data figures have improved over the years and it will be good to see the EBV’s at the end of the month.

Spring Joining
This season’s spring joining has come to an end and the bulls have come out of the cows looking fantastic.
In the spring this year Woodbourn made the decision to test the entire Woodbourn female herd over two years of age for the genetic disorder Contractural Arachnodactyly (CA). It was very reassuring to find that all the Woodbourn females tested negative except for one outside cow we had bought in. This means that with all the sires used at Woodbourn tested negative as well, the breeding herd and animals offered for sale will all be clear.

Congratulations to all those involved with the highly successful Melbourne Show and the subsequent, veryimpressive Landline program.
The Murray Grey cattle being shown, created a magnificent spectacle and was a scene which would have impressed any onlooker and made breeders of Murray Grey cattle very proud.

Lot 10 top priced bull 2012 Woodbourn Sale. With Peter and Jenny Batten and Graham, Matt and Lachlan Hobbs of Molong NSW
This week’s Woodbourn Murray Grey sale was number thirty three for the Wallace family, of Woodbourn, Cressy, Northern Tasmania and it was an outstanding success. Following on from their very successful Angus sale two weeks ago.
A large crowd bid solidly for the 38 bulls offered at Woodbourn on Tuesday 17th April, at Cressy Tasmania. The total clearance, top of $11,500 and average of $5,986 was a very pleasing result for Woodbourn and the vendor Charles Wallace said it was very satisfactory for both the seller and the buyer to have the prices where they were. The sale moved strongly through the lots without losing momentum at any stage.
